After reading the chapter on persuasion and watching the lectures on persuasion and how persuasion works participate.Discussion by identifying an appeal (ethos, logos, pathos) via a Tweet on Twitter. (You do not have to sign up to view Tweets on Twitter). and a locate Tweet posted by either a 1) celebrity, 2) sports star or 3) government leader that illustrates the use of either: logos, pathos or ethos. (You can either search at random, or type a particular person’s name into the search bar to search through the Tweets).
When you find a Tweet that you believe uses an appeal to ethos, logos, or pathos, take a screen shot of that Tweet (see tutorials below if you need instructions for how to take a screen shot)
Then 1 page identify which appeal (ethos, logos, or pathos) and discuss (a) why and how the appeal is represented and (b) the effect/impact of the appeal (on author, audience, and topic).
