You will compare two socio-political cartoons pertaining to the same issues presented in this week’s audio lectures and/or documentaries. After choosing the issue that most interests you, find and evaluate two historical cartoons that mirror the issue you choose.

Write a detailed 300+ word, double-spaced comparative essay using the guide below.
Compare two socio-political cartoons that are on the same side of an issue. Identify the different methods — like symbols, allusions, or exaggeration — that the two cartoons use to persuade their audience.
Describe and analyze the message of each cartoon accurately and highlight the importance of the historical events, ideas, or societal issues depicted about the Long 18th century–be sure you provide ample historical context for the cartoons.
Include and refer to the cartoons as you write your analytical essay.
