Introductory Technique/s: (reference LW, pgs. 67-70)
Hook (1-2 sentences that capture reader’s attention)
Gap (2-3 sentences to transition to the thesis statement);
Thesis Statement (1 sentence that takes a specific and narrowed stance, final sentence of introduction and make sure your thesis is bolded for this assignment).
Also, do not use your introduction to simply provide too general and/or factual information. Your introduction must be directly and specifically related to your thesis statement.
