In the writer’s own words (sources are identified as applicable, i.e. use proper citations where applicable), and supported by, and connected to, references in the assigned reading or other research. In-text citations must be used to indicate where sources (including the textbook) have been incorporated in the post and/or used to support your answer. You must provide an in-text citation even when a direct quote is not used (i.e. when you use an idea or summarize applicable material you will provide the in-text citation). When citing the textbook, simply indicate the page number or chapter/section if using the online version of the textbook. • When you are formulating your responses to post in the assigned discussion boards, please use the textbook to assist you in preparing your responses. You must use the material in your textbook to answer the questions. For example, a case in your textbook may address an issue which is similar to the issue contained in the question you are assigned to discuss. A detailed response to the question will attempt to compare and/or contrast the material in the textbook to the question. To earn points when answering questions, you must include the concepts discussed in the textbook. The concepts are found throughout the chapter, including but not limited to, the cases/examples in the chapter. Use any of the material in the chapter that is relevant. Incorporating your opinion or personal experiences will assist you in formulating an interesting and compelling answer. I expect you to post a response that contains more than “I agree . . .” or “I do not know . . .” etc. • QS3.
