1. Topics could connect to your program of study, but must have a problem-based approach giving you something to identify (factual), assess (value), or solve (policy). Keep it simple and relevant. Refer to chapter 8 of The Empowered Writer.
Activity #2 – 5%
2. Write your paper following the plan prepared for Week 7 (for marks), making sure you incorporate findings that are current (ideally within 24 months), applicable, helpful, and accurate.
3. Be sure to include an expanded thesis statement in your introduction, offer unified and coherent paragraphs (or sections if writing a report), with specific topic sentences, and conclude your overall paper. (Activity 1 is a related activity that helps you prepare a solid thesis statement.)
4. Document all sources used to learn about your topic, using APA format.
· You must include at least THREE credible sources.
· Include at least ONE quote and paraphrase other useful research.
5. Review APA for format, including the following:
· Specific details and layout for assignment title page
· Repeat paper’s title on first page
· Headings/subheadings if preparing a report
· Double space, with no extra white space
Activity #3 – 5%
6. After completing Activity #3, which should help develop writing skills, review your paper for clarity, language, format, use of research, and grammar. Then improve and finalize your paper for its final submission due in Week 9.
