This assignment is designed to help you start your final project. The first step is to pick the topic that you will research. Possible topics include those covered by the textbook or others that have relevance to sociology and sports. Do not choose a topic that does not have an important focus of some aspect of society, social relations, social organization, AND sport. At first, your topic may be broad but as you do your research you start to narrow it down. For example, How do sports relate to family? This is a broad question and too broad for this paper. As you do your background reading.. you realize that perhaps the topic needs to be narrowed down to “Adolescent’s participation in sport and satisfaction with family”.
