Week 7 Discussion
1. Download the “graphic organizer” for plot and fill it out for your favorite movie or book.
You can fill it out in one of these ways:
Use Adobe Reader or Preview (Apple) to add text, save, and attach as a .pdf to your discussion response.
If you have a PDF to .doc converter, convert the document and fill it out, save it as a .doc and upload it to your discussion response.
Print it out, fill it out by hand, take a pic with your phone and upload it as a .jpeg to your discussion responses.
If all else fails, just type it in the box by labeling each part clearly.
2. Write a paragraph that discusses your favorite work of fiction. Using the resource for types of genres, stories, plots, etc., identify what plot type, themes, etc., apply to your work. Is your fiction flash fiction, a short story or a novel? Is your book in the sci-fi, romance or horror genre? What type of plot does it have? What themes are present? Describe why reading this work gave/gives you pleasure and what you liked about the writing.
Your initial post is due by 11:59 p.m. on Thursday of Week 7
