Objective: Select a comparative morphology/ physiology manuscript from a reputable peer-reviewed
journal. (Minimum impact factor 0.5.) Write a two-page (double-spaced) summary of that manuscript
using the accompanying handout titled, How to Summarize a Research Article, originally published by
the University of Washington. You will end this review with a paragraph (Minimum 4-sentences)
explicitly describing how further study could enhance the understanding of the morphological /
physiological variations presented in the manuscript. A template will be provided for submission of the
final draft. This exercise has the weight equivalent to a 100-point exam.
