1) In what ways can we describe “health” as not only the absence of disease, but as a positive condition? Discuss the different types of research methods used in Health Psychology? When examining research questions, what are some of the advantages and disadvantages to each method that a researcher might choose?
2) Although the biopsychosocial model of health is a useful model of health, it may present possible challenges in implementation. What are the benefits and challenges to using this model of health (mental and physical) in the health and helping professions? How does this model differ from the biomedical model? 3)What is a question that researchers in health psychology might want answered about the function of three of the biological systems? You may choose from the cardiovascular, digestive, respiratory, endocrine, digestive, immune, or reproductive systems. Explain the role of the three systems that you chose.
