2. Watch the MLK video and give an example of how he uses rhetorical power to persuade his audience. Give what you take MLK’s argument to be (not a summary of ideas); start by stating a conclusion and then try to capture the evidence for that conclusion as premises. You may not be using his exact sentences as presented (they are including rhetorical effects). Try to capture his main premises in about 3-4 premises. 3. Briefly describe “background information” and in your own words give a small lesson you have learned from Rappielle, Luntz or Orwell as related to background information’s impact on reasoning.
