For your culminating project, you will be building a wellness plan for your (or a potential) police or other law enforcement department/facility. You will write a formal letter to a supervisor or council member recommending your program. Since it is a letter, please use the letter template provided and address it appropriately. Your first and closing paragraphs can be written in first person, but the body of the letter should not be written in first person. Also, remember to use appropriate APA formatting throughout the letter with references provided at the end.
A cover letter is not necessary since it is a letter format. The suggested length is 3-5 pages (does not include Reference page). The plan you suggest should incorporate the main dimensions covered in the course, and be sure to build your plan with the Whole Officer Model and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs as the foundation. The plan should be a good plan that works for YOUR department. Be sure to review the grading rubric before you submit your paper to be sure you have covered all major requirements. A list of questions are included below to help you begin brainstorming ideas for your plan.
