“Values in action!”
In 2004, Peterson & Seligman developed the “Values in Action Inventory of Strengths, or the “VIA Survey”. Peterson and Seligman’s (2004) measure assesses 24 strengths that define six core virtues. Before you begin writing your discussion post, please proceed to the VIA Institute website and take the the VIA survey.
Study Chapter 2 of your text and research the VIA Survey.
Discuss the character strengths measured in the VIA and how do they relate to well-being, happiness, and life satisfaction? .
Which character traits are your highest?
What would you like to improve in terms of your character? Why? Why not?
What have you experienced related to this in your own life or observed in the lives of others?
What suggestions resonated with you regarding how to build greater well-being?
