Suggestions: You can type. Sometimes the alignment of bases is off due to the width of each letter. Be careful. Word in Office 365 has a drawing tab. Use a stylus (digital pen) so that your work is legible.
Another option: You can also upload the file to Windows whiteboard and write on the document there. Text boxes can be used, however, make sure that you draw a line to what is being labeled. If you choose to print out the file and photograph the page, make sure you can convert the file to a pdf.
There are many apps that can convert a phone photo to a pdf. Also, make sure the initial photo is sized and positioned correctly. It must be legible.
