SEMINAR QUESTION- How have institutional checks and balances in the United States responded to threats to democratic governance during the Trump era, and what theoretical models of democratic resilience can help assess the effectiveness of these mechanisms?
the question purpose is to be your guidance of how you’re going to write the term paper.
-introduction- including the main argument of the term paper- up to 1 page.
-review of the literature- up to 2 pages- please write about the main stuff because the term paper is short, so just a good enough comprehensive background to the topic.
– theoretical aspect, methodology, philosophical aspect- up to 1 page.
-the body: has to be divided into different parts, chapter- most pages, write about case studies that support your argument of the whole paper, the body of the work is the most important part obviously.
– conclusion- up to 1 page.
– bibliography- references to the articles by APA with exact pages and links.
because it is a short term paper, I prefer you to focus on one connection of Trump and an institution than to write about them all. analyze and reflect on the one connection that seems to you to most interesting. for example, Trump and the Legislative and focus on a specific event, or about the relationship with the Judicial. So you can focus on the congress or supreme court for that matter.
focus on one or two major case studies that you think are the best in order to support your argument.
at least 20 TWENTY different academic sources at least.
FOOTNOTES- please be consistent.
APA- include exact pages of where you have taken the words from, what pages in the text, please be accurate.
don’t repeat yourself, make sure you are following one major argument, include only sources that are relevant to the topic and the question. if one of my sources is not relevant in your eyes, don’t include it but the paper still need to have 20 sources at least.
be accurate and precise, don’t write generic stuff please and don’t contradict yourself.
Citations are a key, be precise and interesting, don’t go around the topic.
please use my sources, but also include your sources, as you can use: The NY times, the Atlantic, the New Yorker, Harper, The New Republic, the Nation.
