At different times in their history, to succeed, health care organizations have chosen to adapt to either internal or external environmental influencers. The assigned reading classifies these adaptations into three categories, i.e. expansion of scope, reduction of scope, and maintenance of scope. The assigned reading goes into some depth to give you both an understanding of the three and how they are applied.
