To Prepare:
Consider insights you gained about implicit bias by participating in this week’s Learning Activity.
Review Chapter 13 in your course text, Social Psychology, focusing on causes of prejudice and prejudice reduction strategies.
Select a 20th- or 21st-century example of prejudice against a group in which you are not a member. For example, think about the stereotype that leads to the prejudice and the resulting negative behaviors (discrimination). How can the prejudice be reduced?

Post a response to the following:
Identify the group you are discussing in the first line of your post. For your colleague response, you will respond to a colleague who posted about a different group than you did. Provide a brief explanation of one 20th- or 21st-century example of prejudice against a specific group and identify associated stereotypes and discriminatory behaviors. Remember, you should not be a member of the group, and you should not actively oppose the group in your Discussion.
Explain how implicit bias might be reflected in the example you chose.
Describe a cause of this specific prejudice. Then recommend an evidence-based means of reducing this specific prejudice.
Be sure to include insights you have gained from completing the Assignment 1: Learning Activity.
