The paper should be 4-6 pages, including the case brief. The case brief summarizes the case with each of the essential parts following the format discussed in class. The rest of the paper should discuss the case’s background, e.g., why you think the Supreme Court listened to the case when it did (use evidence from research to support your position) and the case’s impact. You must use in-text citations to show where you obtained information in the paper and a reference page. The cover sheet and reference pages are not counted in the page limit. The case brief should be 90% in your own words.
Quotes should be limited and will include a page number in the citation following the quote.
