This week you will look at different types of inventory and how companies use those inventories, the costs of different inventory policies, inventory management objectives and performance measures, and techniques for determining how much of an item to replenish. Additionally, you will explore the topic of aggregate planning. The level and timing of resources for production are detailed in a company′s aggregate plan. The master production schedule determines how those resources are to be used.
