For this Interviewing Presentation Assignment, you will create a PowerPoint presentation that overviews how to properly conduct a clinical psychological interview (Note: This is not a presentation on general interviewing (i.e., for employment) but, rather, the clinical interview that is conducted when assessing clients in the mental health setting).
INSTRUCTIONS
Integrate into your Interviewing Presentation Assignment course content and information from your own research and review of academic sources. Items to cover include: Importance of the appearance and professionalism of the interviewer, nonverbal and verbal communication elements of psychological interviewing, how to begin and end a psychological interview, how to ask (and how not to ask) questions in a psychological interview, and the role of follow-up questions in psychological interviewing.
Include the key principles of clinical interviewing, including but not limited to, client interview and history, behavioral observation, mental status exam, and multicultural considerations.
