Students will present on their journey into the human services field.
1) Begin your presentation by telling us about the social problem you are interested in addressing as
a human service professional and why you are interested in this issue.
2) Tell us about the professional you interviewed for your term paper, the agency mission, and how
the agency addressed the social issue, etc.…
(Dallas Housing Authority located in Dallas, TX).
3) Discuss 2 important skills needed to be a human service professional in the agency setting and 2
ethical standards that are important to the work.
4) What did you learn about yourself and the human service field while over the course of writing
this project.
5) Pose two reflection questions to the class that relate to your presentation and provoke discussion.
You are welcome to organize your PPT slides in any way that best incorporates all of the information.
Please be sure your slides are professional, easy to read (be careful of choice of font colors/styles) and
incorporate all of the required information. Please use attractive and creative slides to present your
agencies/organizations, incorporating pictures, figures, charts, graphs, etc. that best describe the
information.
The grading of this assignment will be based on professionalism and complete, detailed, and
accurate information of each agency/organization presented. Missing information or not enough detailed
information on each agency/organization will result in point loss for the assignment. (Minimum Slides of
12), and the presentation must be at least 15 minutes long. Be sure to reference/cite your work.
