Go to the website for your state legislature. Select a bill from your legislature’s most recent legislative session. (If your legislature is in session at the time you take this course, then select a bill from the current session.) It does not have to be a bill that passed, although you are encouraged to use a bill that passed the legislature. (1) Briefly explain the contents of the bill. (2) Explain the process through which the bill went and the time line. (3) Discuss whether you agree or disagree with the bill and how you would have voted on the bill if you were a legislator. Explain the reasons for your decision. (4) Provide the URL link to the bill. Before responding to another student, go to the URL for the bill and review the bill itself.
