The latest quarterly employee survey indicated the need to revisit communication strategies, and the technologies being used which are causing frustration and inevitably conflicts are on the rise. You must create a report about the key components of effective communication, ethics in communication, the important role technology plays in daily communication exchanges, and methods for resolving conflict.
Your research will be shared with the leadership team as they prepare specific initiatives to address the concerns that were reflected in the survey. Your report will help to make informed decisions about new policies or training needed to support a positive workplace culture that fosters effective communication and methods for resolving conflicts in a healthy manner.
Report Questions
Create a report with four sections, along with an Introduction and Conclusion, in Microsoft Word and include headings for each section. In total, you should have six headings. Answer the following questions.
Key Components of Effective Communication: To help the organization revise their communication strategy, explain four business communication actions that you believe your organization should strive to use for more effective communication.

Ethics in Communication: List and explain the three ethical standards which any communication should follow. As a manager, you know that employees may not consider all three standards, so the leadership team wants your insight on which of the three standards you believe should be highlighted as the “Golden” rule regarding communication exchanges that would best support the well-being of the employees and the organization. Why did you select this standard? Explain your answer.

Technology & Communication: The company is looking to add instant messaging (IM) to allow employees to communicate throughout the organization. List and explain the advantages and disadvantages of using instant messaging in the workplace. Based on your analysis, would you recommend that the company move forward with implementing this communication tool? Why or why not?
