There has been extensive discussion in this class about Cognitive Behavioral therapies. As you know, clinicians frequently use them in actual practice by, but their use can also be problematical in group work. Discuss the use of these theories in a group format by reflecting on this problem. Offer evidence for and against the use of these therapeutic theories in actual group practice. Evaluate the data and draw conclusions about them as methods for working in group therapy for people with co-occurring disorders. Use examples from your own personal experience, from your internship program, or those described in academic literature to support your conclusion.
