Is a law review article, with footnotes and bluebook citing, single-spaced. Needs to be written like a B+ law student. The topic is about artificial intelligence and how it is disrupting the music industry with generative AI being able to sample artists’ music. Go into copyright law and distinguish the ninth circuit and the 6th circuit split on copyright infringement and how that affects artists rights with their music being made with AI. Use the cases and law review articles I have attached for info. You are allowed to supplement these sources but you must use most of these. I have a rough abstract prepared that you can alter to fit the law review article, but the topic must remain copyright infringement with AI music generators and how it effects artists rights. Talk about the “fair use doctrine” as a defense to these infringements. The Lanhem act and rights of publicity may also be useful topics if you need more material to write about. And ultimately, we are addressing the upcoming issues from AI music generators but we must offer a solution to this issue. Whether it is congress passing legislation or artists growing to coexist with this technology, etc…, but there must be some kind of conclusion to the issue.
