Climate change, construction of the border wall and global food systems demonstrate that humans engage in actions that disrupt and harm the natural environment and that harm to the natural environment creates health risks for humans. Environmental health risks are health risks related to the condition of the natural environment. Using examples from the readings, explain the disproportionate environmental health risks incurred by members of vulnerable populations. In your examples, be specific in identifying the vulnerable population and the environmental health risk the population is experiencing. Include at least one example from sustainability related readings. Successful discussion will demonstrate a comprehension of the assigned reading material and ability to apply concepts from the readings as well as critical thinking and the proper use of citation (in-text citations and reference list).
