Choose one female character from the novel and examine their life from the beginning of the novel to the end of the novel. You will complete the following elements for this project based on the novel and not the movie.

Part I

Google Slides: You will create 10 slides that explain the changes your character faces throughout the novel. You will include images on each slide and incorporate a lot of color and transitions. You must use the novel to explain the different scenarios that took place in your characters life that caused a major shift in their actions. I suggest that you map out your slides on paper. Explain how the character was from the beginning until the end of the novel. You may use clips from the movie but you cannot use the movie for evidence.

Part II

Essay : Write a two page essay on the character that you chose for the slides.

Feminism, is the the belief in social, economic, and political equality of the sexes. Although largely originating in the West, feminism is manifested worldwide and is represented by various institutions committed to activity on behalf of women’s rights and interests.

Explain how your character contributed or faced feminism. Did they help or make it worse for themselves or other women in the novel, explain how. Use the text to back you up in your explanation.

Make sure you use in-text citations and include a reference page.

What do the Critics say? Find an article that focuses on your character and the novel. Write a summary that is 175 words explaining what the critics say about this character in the novel. This portion is separate from the essay. Make sure to attach the article that you chose to use for your review.
