Then, choose a company/organization that you are interested in and research how the topic you chose from above, either aligns or does not align with the company’s policies.
For example:
If you chose Employee Motivation, you might explain how Google aligns its policies and actions to establish a creative environment and keep employees engaged. You can also discuss how the information aligns or does not align with the information in your text. Your research should show examples to illustrate your points.
The information used in your term paper will have to be properly cited, using APA guidelines. Plagiarism rules will be strictly enforced.
Your paper will include the following:
Introduction– in this area you will describe what topic you are covering and why you chose the topic. You will also identify the company you researched and why you chose the company. This should be 1 – 2 paragraphs in length.
Analysis/Comparison‐ This is the most difficult part of the assignment because analysis is hard work. You should offer analysis and evidence (hard facts) to back up your conclusions. Try to inject balance into your analysis and to avoid emotional rhetoric. Strike phrases such as “I think,” “I feel,” and “I believe” when you edit your first draft and write “My analysis shows,” instead.
This section should include information on the alignment of strategies from the course textbook, and the policies and examples of the company you are researching. You should include 2-3 key points. This should be 1 – 2 pages in length. Your research should include at least 4 reference materials, one of which may be your text.
Conclusion/Recommendations –Any findings you have come across in your research can be included in your conclusion, along with any recommendations you may have for the company you researched. Your paper should be in APA format, three to five pages in length, not counting the title page and the reference page. The paper should be double‐spaced, 12‐point font (Times New Roman), with one inch margins at the top, bottom, left, and right of each page. Points will be deducted for errors in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
