Critical Summary Paper Requirements:
Identify and provide a brief overview of an identified portion of the lifespan (refer to Chapters 2 through 10 for lifespan divisions). NOTE: This is not intended to be a summarization of the chapter. *What are the unique characteristics of the life stage? What aspects of the life stage are essential for the social worker’s knowledge? I suggest writing a one page overview of the life stage.
Application of Erickson’s theory of psychosocial development or another theoretical perspectives described in the text. I suggest writing a paragraph.
A brief description of an issue or topic that may affect individuals, families, and/or groups during this portion of the lifespan. I suggest writing 1-2 paragraphs.
A brief discussion of how the issue/topic may affect and/or be experienced by diverse populations and potential disparities. Example: Conception, Pregnancy, Childbirth and Black Maternal Care. I suggest writing a paragraph.
Discuss implications for assessment, intervention and evaluation with this population based on the information above. I suggest writing a paragraph.
Use of TWO peer-review articles published since 2010 to support your responses. It is also expected that in addition to the two research articles the Hutchinson text will be cited.
All papers must be in APA format and THREE pages long. This does not include the cover and reference page. If you go over the 3 pages, I will not deduct points.
Papers written in THIRD Person.
