This assignment asks you to do the following:
Find a public opinion survey about a current events topic that you find interesting in the Pew Research Center’s survey database: Download Datasets | Pew Research Center https://www.pewresearch.org/download-datasets/https://www.pewresearch.org/download-datasets/
Examine both the results as summarized on the Pew website as well as some of the specific questions from the questionnaire that form the basis for these results
Find two secondary sources (like news articles or opinion commentary in whatever format) on the same general topic investigated by the survey.
Write an 800-1000 word (3 page) paper that contextualizes the survey results in relation to the arguments or information contained in the secondary sources.

he format of your argument in the paper is therefore some version of the following: “The portrayal of [survey topic] in the media is [supported/challenged/expanded] by Pew survey results on [survey topic]. This can specifically be seen in the responses to [some particular questions] from the survey.”
