Development Plan/structure
3000words USE THIS PLAN.
-First section: an existing Public health problem – smaller, localised with visible causality anddeterminants. Discuss how this has been dealt with in recent past, and why exists,endurance, persistence etc. – your chosen population – then
-Second section – again – part of your population – brief case study of an existingrecent intervention – with a valuation you can identify – what they did, how -methods, outcomes, problem, successes etc. maybe use a Local Authority, Trust etc– then –>>>keep these two sections brief – max – 1200-1500wds.
Third section (main – save most of your words for this 1500+) – you devise asimilar plan of intervention (for the population chosen) – you will look at funding,staffing, collaboration, and being able to take a lead – advocate for change(leadership), and discuss how this could be implemented with potential outcomes for sustainability, with view to needs assessment (commissioning), requirements for thearea, budgeting, resource allocation – and how this can be evaluated for the future -etc.
The wording between sections is flexible – it is your essay.Show Sub-headings, summary,Certainly include index/contents page – very brief abstract – refs list, and anyappendices you may wish to include. – (not inc in word count.
The main section(3rd section) is the New Intervention – this requires explicit detail ofhow it will be done, evaluated, sustained, collaborated etc – and all thisrequires references from books – you cannot just say without evidence.
The leadership sections are minor – don’t waste too much time explaining-those, chose one and stick with it – and do not write in 1st person – writeobjectively. You must include details on evaluation, methods, collaborative practice,and the last section of your work should explain how this would beimplemented – where did the £ amounts come from?
