In Chapters 7 and 8 of Delta Theory, Tharp moves “from a concentration on Delta’s foundational theoretical concepts to an exposition of Delta’s theory of practice” (Tharp, 2012, p. 85). In Chapter 8, Tharp outlines two instances of benign influence and change and four instances of “malign-purposed influence.” Choose one of the instances of “malign-purposed influence,” and 1) briefly describe the instances and 2) describe how a knowledge of the foundational principles of Delta Theory (Introduction—Chapter 5) is applicable as a means of explaining and/or defending against such influence.
