Description: The pre-service educator will develop a personal philosophy of teaching and
learning supported by research.
Directions: Develop a personal educational philosophy that will guide your practice as an
educator. This philosophy should focus on the whole child. In the educational philosophy,
include the following:
a. Discuss your general philosophy of teaching and learning.
b. Discuss the theories and principles of human development, educational
neuroscience, and learning that you will apply in your instruction to ensure that
you students learn. Be sure to provide concrete examples of how you would apply
each theory / principle in a classroom in alignment with your area of certification.
Integrate at least three research-based works to support the theories and principles
