For this assignment, create a case study involving an accident in the workplace. Choose an occupational accident that has occurred in a local facility or find an article describing an occupational accident. Be certain the case study introduction, gives a brief description of the facility and the incident.
Describe the steps a safety professional would take to investigate the accident. Describe the steps that should be taken at the scene of the accident within 30 minutes of the accident. Clearly identify steps to take from investigating the accident from initial arrival on the scene until drawing a conclusion as to the cause of the accident.
Based on research of the accident (or the materials presented in the article), opine as to which of the theories of accident causation discussed in Chapter 3 that apply to the cause of the accident. Multiple theories of causation may be applied to the accident if supported and explained in depth. Provide your opinion without using any first-person pronouns, (do not use I, me, my, mine, we, us, our, and ours) in accordance with academic writing protocol.
The case study should be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages. At least five outside sources should be used,
