I would recommend that you think of a future experiment from the paper you presented. But, you are not limited to that. See me with any questions.

Please be sure to cite sources. You should have at least 5 sources, at least 3 of them should be primary literature and the others should be reliable sources like the CDC, NCI, NIH or similar.
A typical grant proposal, would also contain a detailed budget and a timeline of events. However, this is not required for your assignment.
