Assignment: Both Socrates and the Buddha talk about the self. Socrates stresses the importance of the self, and the Buddha focuses on “no-self”. Did Socrates try to teach people to be more self-centered or egoist by em phasing the self? Did Buddha try to say that we should not take moral responsibility for our behaviour? Might it be possible that they are yea hung the same thing about self (yes)? Socrates:self as moral agent Buddha:self ad an ego.
