The Harlem Renaissance was the name given to the cultural, social, and artistic explosion that took place in Harlem between the end of World War I and the middle of the 1930s. During this period Harlem was a cultural center, drawing black writers, artists, musicians, photographers, poets, and scholars. There is no doubt of the profound effect that this era left on America and its literary canon.

This assignment will require research. I expect that. However, it is expected that you use proper documentation in your paper. If you are unsure of how to do this properly, please research MLA documentation. In my expectations, 3 pages means that there is at least one line on page 4. Please remember, MLA calls for 12 pt, Times New Roman font, and double-spaced lines.
