The Therapy Review paper will encourage you to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a particular therapy in terms of understanding client behavior and working with a client to promote growth and change. This paper should be written in APA 7th ed. Format and be 2 pages in length (double spaced), plus a title page and reference page (4 pages all together). Due date is listed in the Course Schedule.

1) Brief Paper Introduction (one paragraph to introduce your theory of choice) (2 points)
2) Description of Therapy and How It Promotes Change (1 page)
a. Describe how change occurs for clients. According to this therapy, how or why do clients develop
mental health issues? How can clients improve and strive toward optimal mental health functioning? What is the mental health professional’s role in promoting this growth? (6 points)
b. Select 2 key theoretical concepts from the therapy model. Imagine that you are going to teach these concepts to a classmate to help them to better understand this theory. Provide a brief definition for each and then describe how each concept helps mental health professionals to conceptualize a client’s thoughts/feelings/actions. Make sure to provide within-text citations for definitions and include course textbook citation in APA format on references page at end of paper (6 points)
c. Why did you choose this theory, what attracted you to it in particular? (3 points)
3) Critique the Therapy (one paragraph)
a. Discuss one strength of the therapy. In what ways is this theory helpful in examining clients’ presenting concerns? (2 points)
b. Discuss one weakness of the therapy. In what ways is this theory limited in attempting to fully support clients in their exploration of and work through their presenting concerns? (2 points)

Your paper must be typed, double-spaced, and a maximum of 2 pages in length. In addition, please include a separate title page. Please also include a reference page with APA citation for the textbook and any other sources you use (such as websites or other books – make sure to cite your sources in-text as well; the reference page is not included in 2-page requirement). Follow standard essay format with introduction, body, and conclusion paragraphs. Please use organized paragraphs with one small topic per paragraph, topic sentences, and supporting sentences. Each paragraph should be a minimum of 4 sentences in length! Proof-read for grammar and typos. Use 12-point font, one inch margins all around.
