Face-to-face communication is part of the foundation of interpersonal communication. This week we explore mediated interpersonal communication along with an introduction to interpersonal communication. Our discussion will explore concepts from both chapters and help us explore mediated interpersonal communication.
1. Explain how we emotions are experienced and expressed in interpersonal relationships. Describe how you, typically, express emotions in your relationships.
2. How do various personal and social influences impact emotional expression in communicative situations? Analyze the various factors the influence whether and how you express your emotions. Is this based on your personality or culture? If so, why or why not?
3. Consider the last time you experience a debilitative emotion associated with an interpersonal relationship. How well were you able to manage it? What does the Bible tell us about sharing our feelings in interpersonal relationships?
