A. Write an introduction outlining the significance of agency in the study of international development and global studies (10 points).
B. Provide an overview of analytical frameworks or theoretical ideas that help us understand local agency (10 points).
C. Explain five different examples of agency covered in class that help you understand international development and global studies through the lens of ‘local agency’. For each theme provide: 1. an explanation of the significance of that theme to agency in international development and global studies; 2. examples from diverse course material (lectures, case studies, guest speakers); 3. references to course readings and other readings you find on the topic (Worth 20 marks);
D. Include a conclusion summarizing the paper (5 marks); and
E. Provide a bibliography of a minimum of 10 sources (minimum of 5 sources from second half of the course since the midterm + 5 additional sources found individually by students to support arguments throughout the paper (5 marks).
