Application for Energy Policy Fellowship
The Institution is now accepting applications for our inaugural Energy Policy Fellows program. We will be hiring up to five students for summer fellowships working on energy and environmental policy. The selected students will be placed with a state or local government agency or non-profit organization, to work on research or other project-based tasks related to energy and environmental issues. At least two of the fellowship placements will address issues related to equity and/or environmental justice.
At least two of the positions will have a preferred selection for students from backgrounds historically underrepresented in the energy and environmental fields. Fellowship recipients will also be required to write a brief reflection paper summarizing their experience with the placement agency.

No prior coursework and/or professional or volunteer work experience from an African country where illegal mining is deteriorating the environment. Energy crises in Ghana led to a new dictionary word, “dumsor (In Ghana, dumsor is a persistent, irregular, and unpredictable electric power outage. The frequent Ghanaian blackouts are caused by power supply shortages).”
