This is a diagram of a rotating earth. Please use this diagram and sketch the following items onto it. Then upload the
hand drawn image along with answers to the following questions. If you need to submit the drawing separate from
the questions that is fine. You have the ability to submit multiple times for this assignment.
1. Please label the poles and the thermal highs (TH) and thermal low (TL).
2. Next, label the dynamic highs (DH) and dynamic lows (DL).
3. Draw and label the circulation cells.
4. Next name the winds and write them in the appropriate region.
5. Locate and label the Intertropical Convergence Zone, and the ITCZ.
6. Finally draw arrows showing the net (overall) direction of the winds taking into account the impact of the
Coriolis Effects.
7. Answer the two questions below:
a. Describe the difference between the dynamic and thermal highs and lows.
b. What is the difference in the way the Coriolis Effect impacts objects in the Northern and Southern
Hemispheres?
