Students are required to watch the documentary, “Life Facing Bars – A Gang Prevention Documentary,” which is located at After watching the documentary, students are required to write a reflection essay. Essays are the student’s reflection of the documentary and need to be double spaced and comply with APA style. The student needs to identify what was viewed, discussed, and/or presented and relate that experience to information from Chapter 9 of the textbook. Specifically, students should discuss what factors lead to joining a gang, how associating with members of a gang while not even being a gang member could affect offenders, and gang prevention and intervention strategies. Be sure to cite your sources. Essays will be graded for proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation as well. This Essay will be worth up to 15 points; in order to receive full credit for it, students must turn it in by 11:59pm on 4/6/23.
