In your proposal, you will consider your findings from the literature review and refine your research topic. Pose the question that you intend to research e.g what is the relationship between gentrification and race? In what ways is gentrification a force for social good? Explain what you hope to accomplish by exploring this research question—that is, why does it matter to learn more about this topic? Has it been wrongly ignored by other commentators?
Make a stance about where you currently stand on this issue and which questions you still have. It doesn’t matter if you change your position for the research proposal itself. For this proposal, consult 6 sources. You may use the same sources from your annotated bibliography or your literature review, or you may change them as your research develops. Keep in mind that you do not need to explicitly reference every source in detail in this short proposal but mention sources that were influential in helping you form your current thinking on the issue.
