QEP REPORT (DUE MARCH 29)
This assignment is a Quality Enhancement Program (QEP) activity. The QEP assignment will cover the
Reading/Writing Literacy. (200 POINTS)
READING/WRITING LITERACY (R/WL) OUTCOMES
1. Students will be able to read and respond in writing to challenging texts that demand critical thinking.
2. Students will be able to demonstrate effective use of various patterns for organizing and developing written
communication.
3. Students will be able to recognize and use correctly and effectively the rules and conventions of standard
English.
NOTE: The QEP Reading & Writing Rubric for this QEP assignment can be located at the end of the syllabus.
Students will be required to complete the QEP report paper on psychosocial aspects of a certain disability. The
research paper must:
1. Be at least 6 pages in length (not including the cover page, reference page and abstract).
2. Contain at least 5 section headers.
3. Be well organized in APA format following manuscript guidelines.
4. Not contain any spelling and/or grammatical errors.
5. Contain at least 8 references. All references must be peer reviewed books, articles, and websites.
6. Provide a clear introduction.
7. Provide a clear and concise conclusion.
8. Contain appropriate in-text APA citation(s). NOTE: Please note that if you do not utilize correct in-text
citations as required in APA format you will automatically receive a one (1) point or more deduction.
9. Provide the prevalence/incidence of the disability with appropriate in text citation(s).
10. Discuss the physical impact of the disability on the persons’ body with appropriate in text citation(s).
11. List and discuss at least six (6) psychosocial aspects of the disability (Students can select from the medical,
psychological, social, educational, vocational, familial, financial, independent living, travel, religious and
cultural issues, as well as, stigmas and stereotypes associated with the disability) with appropriate in text
citation(s).
12. Discuss at least three implications for rehabilitation professionals with appropriate in text citation(s).
