Describe and discuss the Spanish American War and its impact. As part of your Paper include answers to the following questions: How/Why did the War break out? What was America’s role in the War? List and explain 2 factors that contributed to America’s entry into the Spanish American War. What was the outcome of the peace treaty? What was its significance i.e. what effect did the outcome of the peace treaty have on the U.S. and the territories/countries involved? Briefly discuss the subsequent relationship between the U.S. and Cuba, and the U.S. and Puerto Rico, and, or the Philippines, and, or, Guam (You can but do not have to discuss all 4 relationships, you can focus on one or two). What impact did this relationship have on immigration or migration from the country (in the case of Cuba, or post-independence Philippines) or territory/territories (in the cases of Puerto Rico, Guam and, or the Philippines prior to 1946) to the U.S.
