Introduction: In one paragraph, orient the reader about the topic (topic: what are the rates of parental child abuse in elementary age students) Arouse the reader’s interest, and tell the reader what to expect in this section by identifying the major subsections which follow.
Review: Provide a synthesis of the literature review to the major varibales (be comprehensive by looking in disciplines other than social work which may impact on the topic) This section will be the bulk of the literature review. Organize your presentation to keep the reader alert.
Summary: Now tell the reader what you just reviewed in a nutshell. Enumerate the major points and reiterate gaps found. Briefly tell the reader what you are deliberately NOT going to study. In other words, what aspects of the problem are outside your interests at this point or beyond the scope of this paper? e in elementary age students?
