historical treatment of indigenous people of Canada and their relationship with the Canadian
criminal justice system.

continues to repress and marginalize them through the legal system (Police killing and
murdering of indigenous people in rural areas, but especially in Manitoba and
Saskatchewan & the over representation of indigenous people in the prison system in
