The basis of the term project is an analysis of the future state of travel and event planning. Your task will be to analyze how the industry may evolve in ten years. During your time in the class you have been exposed to several scenarios that affect travel, tourism, and planning events domestically and internationally.
For your analysis, you will need to include an analysis of activities, settings, experiences, and benefits, which is referred to as a ASEB grid analysis. The analysis will be used to provide an outlook rather than evaluating current experience. Describe what you believe the responses would be if asking visitors. Explain any assumptions that are made for the writing.
You will need to have at least five references. You will be expected to provide a thorough analysis of what the future may hold and you will be expected to base your reasoning on the foundation of history, meaning you will need references to show what is serving as the foundation for your perspective as well as for substantiating your outlook.
You include a section, clearly distinguishable from other sections or discussion points, related to “Cultural Implications”. In this section, you will discuss the cultural implications of what you are discussing in relation to the evolution of the industry.
You will need to perform an interview with an current event planner, for any platform or concentration. The interview does not have to incorporate any standard format or be dictated in full within the writing. The intent is that you display some discussion with an industry professional through evaluating their outlook or their perspective of yours. The interview should be cited in the writing (at least once).
