1. Find an article/blog post where a claim is made regarding psychology, science, or society. The article could talk about racial inequality, vaccines and autism, pop culture, etc. (The article does not need to be from the library database but can be). Describe the article you find and what the author is arguing/claiming.
What evidence does the author present to support their argument? Can you think of alternative explanations for their claims? How do you think statistics was used to inform their argument or could have been used to better inform their argument?
2.Using Chapter 4 in “Ways of Learning,” define what kind of learner you are. What characteristics of that type of learning suggest that it fits for you? What kind of classroom environment do you feel works best for you?
