I will answer the prompted questions required for my personal beliefs below so you can use my personal opinion as backup information for my paper. Also I want some sources from the internet about the “Atzeret Simchat Torah ” ( Jewish) religion to explain to others what the religion is and to help give some informational feedback to my paper. To help fill up more information about this personal experience please feel free to add anything including your beliefs as well to make this paper seem more realistic. How did you find this community of faith? I found it through the virtual services listed on youtube
Why did you choose it? I chose it because its deals with celebrating the jewish love of torah and study
What were your expectations? I was expecting to see the people within the religion wearing all black with hats on
What were your fears/questions? I didnt have any fears, but I did question why singing was the only way to rejoice thorought the service
What did you see, smell, hear, and feel as you entered the place of worship? I wasnt able to smell anything but I did see candles , paintings , and a moon light , I heard lots of singing, and i felt vibrations as they sang throughout the service and describing each element that made up this service
Describe the worship space, the people, and the sacred objects. The worship space was a small living room with antique furniture and pictures with two elderly people surrounded around candles and light
What happened in the experience? They opened with singing and a prayer and started talking about lights, we all were able to bring out our own source of light and start singing around it to celebrate
Did you feel welcomed? Yes , I felt welcomed
What questions did you have? I wonder why they sang alot throughout the service
How did you go about getting your questions answered? I observed and researched more information about the Jewish religion
Would you go back? Yes I would go back, they were very welcoming within the religion
Would you recommend the experience to a friend? Yes I would love to share this with a friend who is interested in celebrating religious holidays
